Jacob Muldowney is a Philadelphia-based artist whose work explores the creative process and how it relates to spirituality and religion. His work resists systematic categorization into any specific medium, as a single piece might contain elements of oil or acrylic paint, pastel, charcoal, graphite, collage, and various printmaking and digital art techniques. Muldowney, a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, has exhibited internationally and is the recipient of numerous awards, including: the Robert A. Ricker Memorial Landscape Prize, the James P. Bonneli Jr. Prize, and the Lois and Charles X. Carlson Landscape Painting Residency, as well as being nominated for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Award.
