Kimberly Turner’s studies mainly rest in the field of photography, though her work tends to bridge the gaps between multiple media. She began her artistic education at SUNY Fredonia, where she graduated with a BFA in both Photography and Illustration. Kimberly decided to further her academics at Indiana University Bloomington to obtain an MFA with a concentration in Photography. During her tenure she has gained multiple awards including Canvas Creative Arts Magazine’s Editor’s Choice, the John Beck Award, and the Grant-In-Aid of Master’s of Fine Arts Projects. She is currently a photography instructor at Northern Illinois University and hopes to continue teaching at the university level or shift to museum work. Visit her at: kimberlyturnerart.com.
